More pics from the Shower

My nana made Paige her own "Nanagan"
All of her grandchildren have full size blankets made with Love.
But her arthritis makes it hard. She was making this in Hawaii!

My mom gave Paige my favorite book "Scat Scat"

The book was written in the 40's and is impossible to find. This is the original book that we read every day. I can't wait to read it to Paige.

Everyone enjoyed eating outside- It was a beautiful day. I am just glad Stephanie no longer lives in Kentucky!

Baby Shower Fun

My Friend Danielle Made the cake
My mom made the favors!
And she made the diaper cake!
It was so nice having Justin's Grandma come up
All the way from Watsonville

Faith & Gaven had a great time playing!

On Saturday, My mom, sister & friend Denise threw a shower for me. There was quite the turnout with a wide variety of people. We all had a great time. The food was great, & my mom is so creative. Paige received quite the assortment of gifts. We are on our way to being ready for her. I am posting some pictures from the shower.

1st of 3 busy weekends in a row

This weekend seemed long and exhausting. And to think I have two more busy weekends ahead of me. On Saturday I went to my friend Julie's house for a Pool Party. She just remodeled her pool, but since it had been raining no one was swimming. But at least the rain had subsided and the sun had come out. We had good food and saw some old co-workers.

Saturday Night I hosted another Clothes Swapping Party. I usually have them about 2 times a year. This one was the biggest turnout yet with around 15 girls. We had a lot of fun as usual. But it was depressing seeing so many cute clothes that don't fit me anymore.

Sunday Morning I taught my two year old class at church. My sisters both had soccer pictures that morning, so I was by myself with 7 kids. But there were no kids crying and they were really fun. I can't believe next weekend will be my last weekend. I was looking forward to it because it is exhausting, but now I think I am going to miss it.

Sunday afternoon I went to Lydia's Bridal Shower. Wow did she get a lot of lingerie! The food was spectacular and it was beautiful. After the shower, Justin & I went to Denise's house for dinner. We had fun hanging out with Mike & Denise and also Chris & Dani. On the way we stopped at Tully's in Downtown Pleasanton so I could get steamed milk with Irish Cream flavoring. We ran into an old friend Evan. It was so nice catching up to him.

Today, the repair man came and fixed my oven. Then I went to Ross and found a shirt for my shower next weekend. At 5pm, Justin & I met a pediatrician. We really liked her, but we will see.

Things are going well. The baby is moving strongly now, but still not around other people. I hope that Justin gets to feel her before she is born. Above are pictures of my belly @ 30 weeks and my new china cabinet.

Frog Wisdom Part one and more

My friend got me this book called Wisdom of Frogs. Here is my first tidbit of information:

There is always a smile behind a tear- Helen Luecke

Not much new to report on my end. The burn is healing well. Still will be a couple of weeks until I know if I will have a bad scar or not. I am gaining weight quickly now. Belly pictures will come soon. Justin has been working hard on this job. Apparently, the people have a wedding this Saturday and they have contractors all over the place. He still doesn't know how it will all be done by Saturday. Why do people do such huge remodeling weeks before a big event?

BBQ & Burn

Day Two- Getting Darker!

Day One!

Yesterday- We had a Barbecue with my family and Justin's family for his birthday (Tomorrow). It started off as a great day. I was cooking some potatoes for potato salad. While draining them, the burning hot water came up and splashed my stomach. It was so painful and because I am pregnant and the burn was blistering, we were advised by the doctor to go to the emergency room. 2 1/2 hour later, I was bandaged up and feeling much better. By that time, Justin's brother & Grandma were at our house and we had to rush back and let them in (They had no traffic and were early). Over all it was a good day. Justin really enjoyed all of the company and the BBQ did go well. The potato salad was finished. I just did not get a chance to decorate the cupcakes, but that was OK.

3-D Ultrasound!

Confirmation that she is PAIGE!
Everyone thinks she looks like her Daddy (Backwards baseball cap!)

We had the 3-D ultrasound done today! It was amazing. My whole family & Denise were there. She is quite the little mover. But she did like to cover her face a lot with her hands and feet. It was indescribable to see our little girl up on the screen again, but this time in 3-D!

Crib Building!!

The Finished Product!
Close-up of the bedding set!
I just love Frogs!

After much labor and sweat, the crib is built. And may I say, I love it. I am glad I got the one I did. It was not too hard to build, but it did help to have both of us. But now, my back is killing me. I am attaching pictures of the finished product.

Some pictures

Here is a picture of Chelsie & Me in Hawaii! I am a lot bigger now- New pictures will be coming. Also a picture of the Ultrasound we had done on 7-16-07.
And a picture of Justin & I from Stephanie's Wedding in June (I do not think I would fit into that dress now!)

My First Blog

This is my first post. I am hoping this will be a place I can keep my friends and family up to date as Justin & I prepare to have our first child. Paige Elizabeth Eileen Huffman is expected around November 29, 2007. Unless of course she comes into this world as a boy- we will keep you posted.

Our 3-D ultrasound is scheduled for this Saturday so I will be back then to post pictures (If I can figure out how to do that!).

I am doing well so far- getting bigger every day. I have not had too many cravings. I only crave things once someone mentions them or I drive by some place (Like McDonald's). The baby is kicking all the time now, but she seems to be very shy. She kicks mainly when I am alone and by the time someone puts their hand on my belly- she stops. Maybe she does not like be touched.

Justin & I are about to start putting the crib together today! That should be quite the adventure. I will be sure to post details of that later! I guess that is all for now.
