This Christmas season seemed very busy, but was also very enjoyable. After we got back from Auburn for Thanksgiving, we pulled out the fake tree (http://pidge77.blogspot.com/2011/12/i-am-live-tree-type-of-girl.html) and just put up the lights and the new train set Justin got for free somewhere.
Paige and I had a Mommy/Daughter date to see the Nutcracker. It was in a little theater in Antioch and a girl I went to school with had two daughters in this performance. The price was good and it was a really good show. Plus we got to get dressed up. It was a lot of fun.
We had a fun afternoon of decorating Cookies and the tree!
We spent Christmas Eve day with Justin's family in Santa Cruz as per usual. Dan & Michelle always have lots of food and it is really good. Plus I got to see all of my nephews and nieces and had some bonding time with the newest one born in August 2012!
I can't believe we got a family picture with all of us and I was even in it! |
We also made "snow" from a bar of Dove soap for the bate |
The next morning we enjoyed some time opening presents from Santa and from Ohio at our house and then we headed to my parents house. As per usual, we had a ton presents to open, had some of our favorite Christmas morning foods (Breakfast pizza). Chelsie had thrown out her back so she wasn't too mobile, so her and my mom stayed home while my dad, Mikaila, Justin & I wen to see the Hobbit! It was such a fun relaxing day!
