Meeting Elena Grace

My sister in Ohio, Danielle & her husband Jeff, after years of trying- had a baby girl in November 2014.  Of course I needed to get out there as soon as I could so I booked a trip for the end of January and could not wait!   They planned a Naming/Blessing ceremony while I was there.  And my niece Scarlett turned 3 as well.     I had some difficulties getting in since my flight was delayed in San Jose due to fog so instead of getting to Cleveland around dinner time, I got in around 10pm.   Friday was a nice relaxing day hanging out with the girls during the day and then Scarlett's party in the evening.   Saturday was the blessing ceremony which, besides Elena screaming during the ceremony went well.  Sunday we had breakfast with the whole family and then hung out until we braved the snowstorm to go to Jen's friends house.  We ended up getting stuck there for a while since Doug had some car trouble and getting a cab proved difficult.  But we made it home and my Patriots won, so that's good.  Monday we went out for some fried pickles and then I got some more snuggle time with little Elena before a final dinner with the family.  Tuesday early I was dropped off at the airport only to have an airplane that was too cold resulting in a 2 hour delay.   But I made it home in one piece!
