Kerry & Andy's Wedding

Almost immediately after returning from Vancouver I boarded another plane to Boston.  I had to leave Justin & Paige home, but joined my Parents & Mikaila on their flight.  We arrived a few hours before Chelsie to we headed to my parents favorite Pizza Place (Name is escaping me right now and I might be in trouble about that).  Oh my the funny things that happened there.  Including Mikaila knocking her drink over.  When the waiter came, my dad said "She was talking about how upset she was about Papelbon leaving the Sox and she just got to excited".  The waiter looked at her and with his strong Boston Accent said "Don't worry about Papelbon, he ain't worried about you".  It was so funny.

Once we picked up Chelsie we drove out to our Hotel near Plymouth.  We settled in and decided to go find the house that my Aunt Kathy and her family had rented.  We knew the street, but not the exact address.  Mind you it was about 10pm.  How found the place was amazing, but only a couple of people were home (Mostly sleeping kids) because the rest of them were still at the rehearsal dinner.  So we headed to downtown plymouth and got some ice cream and jumped out for a quick picture of plymouth rock.

The next morning we got up, had breakfast at the hotel and went for a "walk" to the shopping center across the street where we bought some stuff for Justin & Paige and also bought my dad his fathers day gifts.  Then we went back and got ready for the wedding.

The wedding was at a beautiful church, and of course Kerry looked AMAZING.

There was a little time between the ceremony and reception so we headed to Duncan Donuts for a snack and some coffee.  The reception was at this lighthouse at the end of a really long dirt road.  They had shuttles running from the hotel, so we hopped on one of those.  WOW! What an adventure.  But so beautiful

We all had a great time.  The speeches were hilarious and it was so nice spending time with my family.  The location was a private home/lawn so there was no real end to the party.  The neighbors even ended up crashing, but they figured it was better to invite them in than to have them complain.  The hardest part was getting all of the pretty drunk people back onto the shuttles.  The bridal party was staying at the house so no one else wanted to leave.  And I was pretty sure someone was going to throw up on our way back over that very bumpy road.  But they did not.

The next morning, we checked out of our hotel and headed back out to the lighthouse (This time in our car) to help clean up and spend some more time with my family.  It really was a beautiful place.

We spent that night out on the Cape with my Uncle Rick & Aunt Cheryl.  Then the next day we headed back towards Boston and spent the night at Nana's.   Dad, Chelsie & I had to leave pretty early so it was easier to be closer to the airport.   My Aunt Tricia and her son Max came over and we had a nice dinner and then went and got ice cream (Note- we get a lot of ice cream in Massachusetts- but I am not quite sure why).

The next morning we got up at some horribly early time and the three of us headed home, while my Mom & Mikaila stayed behind until they left to go to Georgia for Mikaila to leave on her missions trip.  There was lots of construction so we ended up getting lost on the way to the airport without our GPS, or so we thought.  Until I remembered that I had forgotten to leave mine a home so that was good.

I just love going "Home".  I haven't lived there in over 25 years now, but it will always be home to me.  Plus, I love wearing my Pats or Sox gear and not feeling like such an outcast!
