Paigisms 2nd half of the year 2013

  • Justin asked Paige why she never played with HER tablet anymore (She was in the process of getting my Kindle to play Temple Run). She replied "Its OK Dad. I will play it yesterday". Then she realized what she said and she started cracking up.
  • While Paige & I were driving today we were talking about how some kids are born with problems (Like holes in their hearts or missing fingers like her teachers neighbor). She was telling me about a boy in her preschool that actually had 12 fingers but at least one of them was only a partial finger? I asked her if she ever said mean things to him and she said "NO- Of course not, but some kids did say mean things and I had a talk with them and told them it was not OK". I love that she sticks up for other kids!
  • According to Paige...I am the first youngest.. my sister Chelsie Pidgeon is the second youngest and my sister Mikaila Pidgeon is the third oldest. I like the way she thinks
  • My little Diva in training. While taking Paige shopping for a First Day of School dress. She was trying on several options. I heard things like "I like it, but it isn't spectacular" and "It isn't twirly enough". I love that she has an opinion, but it is much harder to pick something out these days. She did find the perfect dress though
  • Justin Huffman and Paige just headed to the pet store to get a hampster. She has been begging for one for weeks because they are "soooo fluffy". And yes it is a despicable me reference. Being an only child is so rough. And the Hampsters name is.................. "Elephant Hawaiian Flower Huffman"
    Only my daughter...
  • Paige, while helping me clean the bathroom during our family cleaning time tonight, was spraying the shower with a vinegar/water mixture says "I really like the smell of this cleaner". I said does it remind you of pickles? And she said "YES!" Hey- Whatever works right?
  • Conversation with Paige last night:
Paige: I am NEVER going to learn how to cook.
Me: Hmmm, well that is going to be interesting when you get older. I guess you are going to have to find a husband who can cook like Paul (My cousins husband who is going to school to become a chef).
Paige: I am not going to get married.... I'm just going to live with you forever.
Me: After I paused for my "Awe" moment I responded: Well honey, I love you very much and you are welcome to live with me for a very long time. But someday you will have to move out and then you are welcome to visit me anytime.
  • Paige came home from school today and said "I got poked in the eye with a pencil today". I asked her what happened and she said "We were telling this boy Brady how cute he was and he poked me in the eye." I thought she meant she was teasing him and she said "No mom- he really is cute". ...... Oh My- It is starting already. I am in trouble.
  • Paige just said "mom... I am dripping the juice from my pepperochini onto my pasta to give it more flavor." This kid loves spicy food!
  • On Sunday (The morning of Chelsie's Wedding), Paige woke up and said excitedly "Mom... Is it MY big day? I'm Wide Awake!!!" . She was so excited to be the flower girl!
  • Paige just told me "Mom, its simple.... Girls have slumber parties and Boys have sleepovers"!
  • We were talking about Red Ribbon Week. I asked Paige what she said the somebody offers her drugs. She said you say nay. We actually thought that was a good idea and then she said or you could punch them. Oh my
